Description
Summary
The Business Systems Analyst is a key member of the operations team. This individual contributor role adds value to the organization through the implementation, management, maintenance, enhancement, support, and decommission of critical business data/software systems, including Salesforce, financial, and operations systems. This person is also responsible for creating and monitoring internal dashboards for engage2learn and will meet with department leaders regularly to review progress towards goals. The role focuses on optimizing business processes, leveraging data for decision-making, and leading system implementation projects. Additional responsibilities include the following: 


Responsibilities:

Business Systems Management & Optimization

  • Lead the implementation, management, maintenance, enhancement, support, and decommission of critical business data/software systems, with a strong focus on Salesforce and Project Management software.
  • Administer and optimize Salesforce, ensuring system alignment with sales and marketing processes, user access, automation, workflows, integrations, and customizations.
  • Oversee system integration projects to ensure smooth technology adoption and transitions across various business systems, including finance and operations platforms.
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and user training for internal teams on critical business systems.
  • Ensure Salesforce practices comply with relevant regulations and educational standards, and implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive organizational data.

Process Improvement & Project Management

  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
  • Improve training and operational procedures within the business to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide oversight and execution of the design, development, installation, implementation, modification, support, and decommission of new or existing applications software within the organization.
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple sources, synthesize data/information, and create qualitative commentary capturing key information and telling a compelling story.
  • Establish specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and budgets.
  • Act as a "Business System Architect" to communicate and understand the value of system automations, articulate and advocate for prioritization of projects based on estimated/calculated business impact with executive leadership.
  • Lead or direct the design, development, and implementation and provide oversight of the maintenance of complex and sometimes unique business solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business processes and improve efficiency.
  • Lead and execute complex projects, ensuring alignment with e2L’s strategic goals.
  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business systems and processes, ensuring risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Recognize the connection between business operations and workflows to influence and improve business system solutions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal business operations measurement and reporting

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Create and monitor internal dashboards for engage2learn, meeting regularly with department leaders to review progress towards goals.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for revenue performance, sales metrics, customer success, and campaign analytics.
  • Analyze customer and community engagement data to surface actionable insights.
  • Track lead generation, sales pipeline, and opportunity conversion.
  • Deliver regular internal reports that inform strategic decisions across revenue functions.
  • Utilize modern reporting tools to streamline and automate manual, repetitive reporting processes, bringing new insights to leaders in an interactive and timely manner.
  • Sync data from several systems, clean data for usability, modify existing reports, and perform ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations to improve operations and systems integration.
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead or direct complex and sometimes unique data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques

Requirements

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with CRM (Hubspot/Salesforce), financial, and operations systems
  • Experience in creating and implementing project plans for system implementations and workflows
  • Driving measurable impact to organizational decisions through use of data
  • Skills to work in a systems and data environment with a high-level of ambiguity
  • Skills to experiment, learn, persist through setbacks and solve difficult problems with a methodical approach.
  • Skills to expand beyond descriptive analytics to drive more data derived insights through use of tools/platforms such as Business Intelligence tools, CRM dashboards, proficiency in scripting languages (i.e. SQL)
  • Demonstrated skills to influence and communicate (written and in person) at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator
  • Project Management
  • Experience partnering with IT (SAs, Scrum Masters, Developers)
  • Programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python)

Employment Details
  • This is a full-time, exempt position.
  • This is a remote position.
  • Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with additional hours as necessary.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • 401K, Health Insurance plan benefits offered.
  • Full-time employees receive 6 weeks of PTO per year.
