Job description

This is a remote position.

Hours:
20 to 30 hours per week
Flexible schedule (Monday to Sunday, between 9 AM – 6 PM EST)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a creative and organized Social Media & Content Assistant with a strong passion for photography and storytelling. This role supports our brand’s content strategy across Instagram, blogs, and other digital platforms. You’ll help bring ideas to life—from writing educational content and editing Reels to engaging with our community and maintaining our visual standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on creative concepts for Instagram Reels and short-form content

  • Edit and produce engaging Reels using our content database and your video editing software

  • Write educational blog-style content based on existing material, focused on wedding photography

  • Stay updated on SEO best practices and Instagram trends

  • Design visuals using Canva, PicMonkey, or Adobe programs

  • Communicate effectively and professionally via Instagram DMs and other channels

  • Assist in maintaining a consistent posting schedule

  • Provide updates on work completed and communicate availability or time-off clearly

  • Organize files and contribute to planning via Google Suite



Requirements


  • Strong proficiency with Instagram, including Reels and DMs (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS)

  • Solid writing skills with attention to tone and detail

  • Video editing experience using personal software

  • Familiarity with design platforms (Canva, PicMonkey, Adobe Suite)

  • Basic knowledge of SEO for blogging

  • Experience using ChatGPT for content drafting or ideation

  • Reliable desktop computer and mobile phone

  • Organized, proactive, and communicative

  • Passion for photography and visual storytelling
