  • Schedule: Total hours: 20 hours per week or 4 hours per day; Monday - Friday (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Richmond, VA time)

The client is a marketing services company based in Richmond, Virginia, specializing in fractional marketing director and CMO services. They differentiate themselves from typical fractional CMO services by providing both strategic planning and hands-on execution of marketing initiatives.

 

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to take ownership of regular content creation and scheduling primarily across META platforms (Facebook & Instagram). The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and proactive—capable of managing content calendars 3 to 4 weeks in advance and adapting quickly to evolving priorities. In this role, you’ll work with diverse clients—from B2B machinery firms to cybersecurity companies—crafting and executing social media strategies, creating engaging content, and driving measurable results. This position blends strategy with execution, allowing you to make a real impact on clients’ online presence and marketing success. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across Facebook and Instagram using existing templates and brand guidelines.
  • Design graphics in Canva, maintaining visual consistency while updating or adapting templates as needed.
  • Write creative and compelling captions tailored to each platform and target audience.
  • Maintain an organized content calendar, ensuring all posts are approved and scheduled ahead of time.
  • Collaborate with the team using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) to manage workflows and approvals.
  • Adapt quickly to changing client needs and industry trends.


Requirements
  • 2–3 years of experience in social media management and digital marketing (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS)
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling, SEO-optimized content.
  • Experience with social media advertising and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, particularly WordPress and Wix.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and current digital marketing trends.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new industries and marketing strategies.
  • Availability to work flexible hours within East Coast business hours.
