Job description

The Opportunity:

Proactively engage with customers and prospective customers to help achieve desired outcomes leading to sustainable and profitable relationships ensuring organic sales growth. Offer expert technical support within a specific discipline (e.g. Life Science, Chemicals, Equipment). Responsible for increasing sales by actively selling the Avantor portfolio of products to end users using a formal selling approach. Work closely with sales and other teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term goals in line with company business strategy.

Avantor is seeking a passionate and customer-centric Sales Specialist - Equipment, Instruments, and Liquid Handling to join our Sales - Application & Technical team in Helsinki, Finland!

In this full-time, permanent role, you will focus on our diverse customer base, including Pharma, Industry, and Government Healthcare sectors across Finland. Most of your time will be spent in the field visiting customers, with the flexibility to work remotely when not on-site. This is your chance to leverage your communication and negotiation skills to deliver the best solutions for our customers. What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
  • Experience: Business-to-business sales experience, lab experience, or previous experience with laboratory instrumentation is beneficial.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proven track record in a fast-paced, complex sales environment.
    • Prior distribution experience or work in a laboratory/research setting.
    • Fluency in Finnish and English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Ability to propose value-adding solutions and assist in project developments.
