Job Summary

 

The purpose of the Senior Manager SHE DD / Integration, North America is to act as a change agent and catalyst to drive continuous improvement and sustainability in the RNA organisation and serves as SHE subject matter expert and lead throughout the M&A life cycle

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manages integration and planning according to timelines, budget and quality standards for SHE functions (Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental) 

  • Works with stakeholders to ensure dependencies and risks are identified, communicated and addressed

  • Drives the day-to-day execution of the SHE integration process, including coaching cross-functional teams, leading integration team meetings and driving proactive issues resolution

  • Monitors, provides onsite guidance to support teams to ensure a smooth and seamless integration into SHE program post M&A 

  • Ensures appropriate consideration of organisational impacts through the integration process

  • Leverages expertise to plan and execute integration and change management

  • Aligns program roadmap strategically and financially to department and company goals 

  • Creates strategic program timelines as well as detailed project plans and budgets, assesses resource loading, dependencies, and milestones 

  • Leads integration of safe work practices, RNA SHE program to ensure compliance with internal programs, OSHA, and EPA

  • Lead and manage all aspects of SHE functions throughout the Merger/Acquisition timeline, and support all processes after the M&A is completed 

  • Investigate major incidents to identify the underlying and root causes, support the    implementation of corrective actions and communicate key learning / outcomes

  • Conducts due diligence to understand the target company's business and legal practices as they relate to employee safety 

  • Develops SHE best practices on processes to utilise during all merger and acquisitions initiatives, including developing SHE playbook to improve the deal execution and integration

  • Leads integration of safe work practices, RNA SHE program to ensure compliance with internal programs, OSHA, and EPA

  • Lead and manage all aspects of SHE functions throughout the Merger/Acquisition timeline, and support all processes after the M&A is completed

  • Creates Presentations for the IMO team and Operational Management on the potential liabilities and current status of each new business

  • Tracks and communicates action plan status, LTA, WDLR rates to leadership team,IMO team, and operational leaders


 


 

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience

 
  • BS in Business Operations or Safety Management 

  • 10+ years of diverse SHE experience or operational experience in a distributed service industry

  • 5+ years in a leadership position with direct reports and responsibility for department or district success

  • Knowledge and experience of OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001.v

  • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles of SHE management and the development and implementation of effective SHE management systems.

  • Able to demonstrate commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of the commercial benefits of effective SHE management.

  • Full driving licence.

  • Highly commercial and entrepreneurial with an attestable customer focus and growth mindset.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of Environmental Services and Safety. 

  • Excellent people management skills with demonstrable experience of leading a large, dispersed and diverse workforce across multiple locations and geographies.

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to operate effectively both strategically and operationally as required. 

  • Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strives towards making a positive impact on society and the environment across the global spectrum, establishing RNA as a leader in this space

  • Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details.  

  • Take active steps to obtain the necessary personnel, resources, training, and information for the group.

  • IT skills including the use of the Google suite of products and data management systems

 

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development or related subject  

Master’s Degree preferred

Annual Earning Potential: $123,400- $160,400 / year .
While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
