Position Summary:

The WordPress Developer is responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites that meet design, performance, and business requirements. This role involves developing custom themes and plugins, optimizing sites for speed and SEO, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring best practices in security and responsiveness. The WordPress Developer will collaborate closely with designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver visually appealing and functional websites, while managing multiple projects in a remote setup.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PH Time
  • Work Setup: Remote / Work-from-Home
  • Holidays Followed: Australian public holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Customize existing themes and plugins to meet client and project requirements.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs as they arise.
  • Ensure websites are cross-browser compatible and mobile responsive.
  • Implement third-party APIs and integrations as needed.
  • Maintain website security, manage regular backups, and ensure timely updates.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver project goals.
  • Apply a strong eye for design and attention to detail in all development work.
  • Utilize version control systems (such as Git) in managing website projects.
  • Manage multiple website projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines.
  • Use website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to monitor and improve site performance.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a portfolio or examples of previous work.
  • Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Elementor, WPBakery, or similar page builders (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX.
  • Experience with Git and version control systems.
  • Strong understanding of website architecture, design principles, and aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to quality, security, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable using an activity tracking software (Insightful) during work hours.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setup.
  • Openness to feedback and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
