Job description

Job Title: Senior Sales Manager (Head of Paper Export Division)

Location: Remote working (out of India or within India, anything will work) 

Department: Sales & Export Business Development

Reporting To: Director 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to lead our Paper Export Division. This role involves driving international sales for our paper and packaging products. The candidate should have 10-15 years of export sales experience, a strong network of international buyers, and a deep understanding of global trade regulations, logistics, and market dynamics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Export Business Development & Sales Strategy
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's paper export business in key international markets (Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, North & South America, Australia).
  • Identify and establish relationships with target market importers, distributors, and end-users.
  • Conduct market research to understand demand trends, pricing strategies, and competition.
  • Drive B2B sales negotiations, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global clients, distributors, and traders.
  • Provide after-sales support, technical assistance, and customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Develop and execute a client retention strategy to maximize repeat business.
  • Export Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, trade policies, and customs requirements in different markets.
  • Work closely with logistics, supply chain, and production teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Oversee documentation processes (LCs, B/Ls, COO, etc.) and payment terms to minimize risks.
  • Revenue & Profitability Management
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual export sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and profitability metrics.
  • Recommend pricing strategies based on market analysis and competitor benchmarking.

 

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field.

10-15 years of experience in international sales & business development in the paper, pulp, or packaging industry.

Proven track record of expanding export business and handling multi-million-dollar sales portfolios.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong global market knowledge of paper and packaging exports.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • In-depth understanding of export documentation, international trade regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales analytics, and forecasting.
  • Ability to travel internationally for business development.
  • Preferred Candidate Profile:
  • Prior experience working with leading Indian paper manufacturers/exporters (e.g., JK Paper, ITC PSPD, TNPL, West Coast Paper Mills, Andhra Paper, BILT, etc.).
  • Existing relationships with global paper importers and distributors.
  • Knowledge of sustainability trends and eco-friendly paper products is a plus.
