We are seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Systems Administrator to lead the administration, configuration, and support of our IBM Maximo Asset Management environments. This individual will be responsible for ensuring system performance, availability, and reliability across multiple environments (Development, QA, Production). The role demands strong technical acumen, a deep understanding of Maximo architecture, and the ability to collaborate across IT, infrastructure, and business teams.
Administer and support IBM Maximo environments (Dev, QA, Production)
Perform application installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
Manage user access, security roles, and system permissions within Maximo
Support system integrations with ERP, GIS, mobile platforms, and other enterprise systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers
Maintain system documentation and operational runbooks
Collaborate with functional teams on workflows, reporting, and data needs
Monitor system logs and health metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively
Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies are in place
Assist in change management, compliance, and audit preparation activities
Work closely with Maximo developers to support deployments and configuration migrations
5+ years of experience as an IBM Maximo Systems Administrator
Expertise with IBM Maximo v7.6.x or later
Hands-on experience with WebSphere or WebLogic application servers
Proficient in SQL; experience with Oracle or DB2 preferred
Strong knowledge of Maximo architecture and integration framework
Experience working in Linux/Unix environments; shell scripting skills a plus
Solid understanding of system performance monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills
IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management
Experience supporting cloud-based Maximo implementations (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure)
Familiarity with Maximo Anywhere or mobile solutions
Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and integration best practices
ITIL Foundation certification or experience in ITSM-based environments
