We’re looking for a senior project manager to join E Source Delivery Services Consulting. You’ll plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants. You’ll also define project objectives with identified stakeholders and oversee quality control throughout the project.  You will own critical planning activities, oversee system implementation vendors and ensure that the client’s needs are met.

How you’ll help:

 

  • Manage cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs, work products, and deliverables on time, within budget, and with high-quality results.
  • Plan, organize, monitor, and oversee multiple workflows within complex projects to meet defined requirements or business specifications.
  • Work closely with client’s project sponsor, project lead, and others to guide efforts toward achieving the utility’s business requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate management, client, and software vendor involvement throughout the life of the project.
  • Manage project risks by conducting regular project reviews with team members and reporting results to management and client’s project sponsor.
  • Lead project teams in accomplishing project objectives by scheduling, coaching, counseling, and managing.
  • Use Project Management Institute standards and a variety of PM tools.
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, reporting risks or variances as required.
  • Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, and managing contract deliverables; appraising and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans, preparing and completing action plans, completing Microsoft Project schedule evaluations, managing risk, completing productivity and quality reviews, resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, and implementing change.
  • Build expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Provide effective project quality control by monitoring progress and work teams and then providing appropriate updates and recommendations to management and client management.
  • Maintain predefined standards for project deliverables and ensure that they meet specifications and quality control reviews.

 

 

What will make you a great fit:

 

  • minimum of eight years’ project management experience with at least five years of experience in the utility energy and water sector.
  • CIS (customer information system) functional areas, such as Call center, Billing, Payments, Credit Collections, Field service orders experience required
  • Cayenta CIS implementation OR Itineris CIS experience is preferred
  • Proven experience with people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management in functional and technical areas of a utility business.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines.
  • Expert knowledge of project management tools, like Microsoft Project, and methodologies.
  • Highly skilled at critical thinking, analysis, business planning, and communication
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, math, or business, or an equivalent body of experience in the project management field.
  • Oracle CC&B Upgrade/C2M experience preferred.

The budgeted salary for this position is:

 

  • $145,000 to $195,000 USD + annual bonus up to 15%

 

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

 

 

This role is remote when not traveling to client sites.   Travel is completely dependent on project and client demands and can be as much as 100%.
