JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Coordinator provides support to the Sales team and management to optimize the effectiveness of the department.  The department handles the conversion of sales, customer retention, and functions to ensure long-term growth and prosperity. The coordinator works closely with sales representatives handling day-to-day business needs to support the sales process and maintain organized sales operations.

This is a Monday through Friday full-time/day shift position working in Chatsworth, California

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONISIBILITIES

• Support Outside Sales Representatives throughout the sales process to create efficiency, maximize productivity and sales volume.
• Make outbound calls, send emails, and conduct follow-ups with potential clients after sales representatives have met with them. 
• Set up new customers
• Ensure vendor agreements and any other customer documents are signed, and the information is up to date
• Maintain customer orders and sales data and generate reports upon request.
• Use sales software and tools to enter sales orders, make order revisions, enter notes, track, record, follow up, and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner.  Reach out to sales representatives for needed information.
• Maintain knowledge of any deadlines and communicate with sales representatives.

• Investigate and communicate with customers regarding issues such as order status, estimates/quotes, order changes and order confirmations
• As the primary point of contact for sales representatives, become familiar with internal processes to resolve issues or identify the departments which need to be involved to resolve the issue.
• Participate in sales meetings and company-sponsored training.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of products and manufacturers
• Assist in scheduling and preparation for sales meetings, trade shows, and events
• Answer inbound sales inquiry calls, gather customer information and create leads in Salesforce
• Maintain lead management database
• Maintain sales representative availability calendar and coordinates with management for effective distribution of sales opportunities and appointments
• Track sales forecasting and recognizes past trends, communicates those trends to the sales team to help drive future sales
• Work with the marketing department to ensure sales representatives are current with the proper marketing material and proposal templates they need.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 to 5 years in a support role in sales or marketing strongly preferred
• Experience working with or knowledge of Salesforce or another CRM is preferred

• Excels at building relationships internally and externally to drive incremental business, value and revenue
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure and often on your own initiative
• A team player with a level of dedication and a strong business acumen, as well as technical aptitude
• Adaptive and fast learner who can quickly understand and articulate new technologies and processes.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
