Position Overview
The Project Manager at Margaritaville at Sea will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing resources, and leading project teams to deliver high-quality results that align with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the cruise line or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse teams and clients.
- Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, develop strategic solutions, and implement them efficiently.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving project goals.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy in project deliverables.
