  • Maintain updated provider demographics and respond to client reporting requests as needed.

About this Role

The Medical Bill Negotiator supports the AuditIQ operations team. This role communicates with providers to negotiate savings on medical bills after bill review reductions and documents savings for clients.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determines cost saving opportunities and pricing optimization strategies
  • Reviews and analyzes bill review EORs (Explanation of Reimbursement) and medical bills
  • Enables positive experience with the provider through phone calls and email communication while meeting client expectations
  • Obtains signed agreements from providers and document savings on medical bills
  • Maintains updated provider demographics and successful outcomes in Salesforce
  • Responds to client reporting requests
  • Participates in planning, daily meetings, and backlog sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers.
  • Complies with all company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, and standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager
Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education/Certificates:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Requires 2 years of workers’ compensation bill review experience, including demonstrated negotiation skills. Experience in healthcare coding or billing is desired.
  • Familiarity with the CompIQ Bill Review Platform preferred but not required

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Office 365.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to respond to others professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires strong organizational skills with proven capacity to handle multiple priorities.
