Key Responsibilities:

  • Wireless Network Management:
    • Design, deploy, and manage complex enterprise-grade Wi-Fi networks (Ruckus,Fortinet, etc.) including access points, controllers, and associated infrastructure.
    • Conduct site surveys, spectrum analysis, and capacity planning to optimize Wi-Fi performance and coverage.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and interference problems.
    • Implement and maintain Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA2/3-Enterprise, 802.1X, RADIUS).
    • Monitor Wi-Fi network health, performance, and security, and generate reports.
    • Stay current with emerging Wi-Fi technologies and best practices.
  • Network Security:
    • Implement, configure, and manage network security devices including firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN solutions.
    • Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
    • Respond to security incidents, analyze threats, and implement appropriate countermeasures.
    • Manage and monitor security logs and events (SIEM integration experience a plus).
    • Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • General Networking:
    • Collaborate with the network team on LAN/WAN design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
    • Configure and manage network switches and routers.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
    • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • [6+] years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade Wi-Fi networks.
  • [6+] years of experience in network security roles, including firewall management and security incident response.
  • Strong expertise in Wi-Fi protocols and standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
  • Hands-on experience with leading Wi-Fi vendor platforms (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Ruckus).
  • In-depth knowledge of network security principles, technologies, and best practices (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC).
  • Proficiency with security tools and methodologies for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and incident response.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for daily and overnight visit across the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Wireless, CWNA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, Ruckus, Fortinet or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud-based networking and security solutions.
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Experience with network automation tools.
Salary Description
$75,000-$95,000
