Associate Project Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Full-Time
Location: Norcross, GA

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing on small to midsize IT projects.  The position will also serve in support of larger Project Management Office initiatives as assigned, including contributions to large customer facing projects and on-going organizational combination activities.

  • Lead and support project teams in the creation and documentation of project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Assist in defining project scope by helping to outline the objectives, goals, and deliverables of the project.
  • Track progress and follow up with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Prepare and update project documentation such as project plans, risk registers, meeting minutes, and status reports.
  • Ensure documentation is organized and up to date, following a defined project management framework.
  • Create and manage project data, including engineering inputs and outputs, project management software, data entry, and other various project data productions.
  • Manage communications, to include both internal and external communications to stakeholders and project team members.
  • Coordinate logistics for implementation efforts, including material management and chain of custody.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Familiarity with creating basic project plans, timelines, and setting up milestones.
  • Basic understanding of how to identify potential project risks and propose simple mitigation strategies.
  • Intermediate experience in project coordination and/or project administration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, track project activities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand project scope, project plans, and deliverables.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields of study: Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Administration.
  • Two (2) years or more of relevant experience in project coordination, team leadership, or administrative support.
  • Experience in project-related tasks like scheduling, budgeting, reporting, or managing vendors.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana).
  • Some background in network infrastructure technology is preferred but not required
