Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Business Objects (BO) reports, dashboards, and universes specific to claims data.
  • Work with claims business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize existing reports and queries for performance and accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity and validation in all reporting outputs.
  • Support enhancements and upgrades to Business Objects environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting and data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with data warehouse teams to ensure alignment between data models and reporting needs.
  • Support claims analytics initiatives by providing ad-hoc reports and data extracts.
  • Document report specifications, technical designs, and user guides.



Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Objects Developer, preferably in the insurance domain.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Designer, Dashboards, etc.).
  • Good understanding of claims data, workflows, and key KPIs (e.g., FNOL, claims cycle time, loss ratios).
  • Proficient in SQL and data validation techniques.
  • Experience working with data warehouses and data marts.
  • Ability to engage with business users to gather requirements and provide reporting solutions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimsCenter or other claims management systems.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes.
  • Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
