Position Overview:

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain the infrastructure powering our Node.js/TypeScript applications. In this role, you'll work closely with developers and QA to create smooth and automated pathways for testing, deployment, and environment management.
You'll focus on establishing and supporting ephemeral environments, streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and enabling the team to ship code faster with greater confidence. Key Responsibilities:

Support and evolve infrastructure for ephemeral environments used in feature and QA testing.
Improve and maintain our CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual effort and deployment delays.
Help manage AWS Elastic Beanstalk deployments and monitor for stability and performance.
Maintain Docker-based workflows across development and staging.
Assist in automating environment provisioning and cleanup using Terraform or other IaC tools.
Work with developers and QA to remove friction from testing and release cycles.
Support cloud-native data systems like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.
Document DevOps tooling and best practices for the team.

Requirements:

2-4 years of experience in a DevOps or related infrastructure role.
Solid understanding of AWS services, especially Elastic Beanstalk, IAM, and EC2.
Experience with Docker and containerised workflows.
Some exposure or experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Familiar with Git-based CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
Comfortable scripting in Bash, Node.js, or Python.
Exposure to TypeScript/Node.js environments and cloud data stores like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, or BigQuery.
Strong team communication and a collaborative mindset.

Our stack includes NestJS, Typescript, React, Node, Python and Angular, DynamoDB, Postgres, Redis, Cloudflare and Docker. Experience on our stack is preferable; however, please do still get in touch if you have equivalent experience, as culture fit and leadership skills are comparably important.
