What you will do

We are ready to hire a talented Fire Service Sales Representative with a strong ability to bring in new National Accounts opportunities. The Service Sales role is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the business! The chosen candidate will promote and sell service agreements (Preventative Maintenance Agreements) for commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, communication, and inspection. A deep knowledge of fire systems and services is required.

How you will do it

  • Manage the entire sales process, focusing on generating new National Accounts opportunities, from uncovering potential leads to developing solution/value propositions, preparing designs, formulating service solutions, negotiating terms, and closing sales opportunities.

  • Meet and exceed financial targets while adhering to predetermined metrics, which are closely monitored, analyzed, and enforced.

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of fire systems and each stage of the sales cycle and process.

  • Proven sales results in acquiring, growing, and retaining accounts.

  • Experience in territory management and strategic thinking.

  • Build and nurture relationships internally and externally to facilitate new business development.

  • Embrace new tools, methods, and ideas to enhance sales performance.

  • Focus on self and team development while adding maximum value in a complex, exciting, and results-driven sales environment.

  • Continuously learn and grasp concepts quickly.

  • Maintain an active proposal backlog that supports achieving the designated sales plan.

  • Travel up to 25% as needed to meet with clients and close sales.

  • Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and follow up to ensure successful closing of sales.

  • Experience in selling services and intangibles, particularly in the fire systems sector.

  • Familiarity with sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to persuade and close sales.

  • Personable, outgoing, energetic, genuine, reliable, and memorable character.

  • A minimum of two years of successful sales experience in a quota-driven environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.

  • 2-3 years of progressive sales roles.

  • Knowledge of the fire and life safety industry.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com.

  • Aptitude for technical knowledge with a high attention to detail.

Pending on residing location HIRING SALARY RANGE: $49,700 - 91,200 Base

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account secured volume, secured margin, and other sales metrics.  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
