General Description:

The Senior Manager Distribution Vendor Management has Europe Regional scope and responsibilities articulating in the dimensions of maintaining both new and existing relations with vendors (3rd Party Logistics service providers). This position will work in maintaining harmonious business relationships with current vendors and identify suitable future vendors. Support with follow-up and execution of RFPs as applicable to secure the best prices for service whilst maintaining the highest adherence to industry standard and external/internal compliance.

The position has a strong link to internal functions such as but not limited to Legal, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, Country Manager and their partners inventory management, logistics, artwork, process management, order-to-cash management and customer service.

The role is also gathering information surrounding new processes, products and procedures and translating them into contractual obligations by way of Statements of Work, this will require working closely with our internal customers to ensure that all requirements are translated, priced and entered into Statements of Work. Additionally, the role will include responsibility for implementation of the processes at the vendor and monitoring the progress of the execution by the vendor.

Key to the overall success, is organizing and maintaining weekly operational meetings with external and internal stakeholders, to which successes or problems that are identified during the normal day to day business are to be communicated back to the vendors and tackled.

As per industry standards Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews Face-to-Face/Remote are to be prepared, organized and led by the Vendor Mgr.by integrating internal stakeholders. This includes setup, monitoring, and publishing of internal (cost-to-serve) and vendor KPIs for distribution, financial and quality metrics and continuous improvement plans. This for the following sites currently in operation Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and United Kingdom, and Italy..

Essential Functions of the job:

• Establish LRP/AOP Budget for storage, distribution and transportation up to Purchase Order Creation and adherence to budget.
• Data & Analytics – Monthly KPIs, Cost-to-Serve, Trend monitoring
• Reviews all invoices associated with services rendered are in line with contract.
• Updates to MSA/SOW due to Changes in processes and procedures that impact Beigene & vendor
• Integrate changes in all facets of the contract Transport,(Cold Chain) Storage, Pick Pack.
• Implement and follow up all projects with vendors and monitor the progress of execution.
• Develop and Maintain Business Continuity Plan with vendor(s)
• Prepare, Organize and lead meetings with vendors review of Performance, Costs Document Changes in Veeva for adherence to GxP.

Qualification and experience:

• Bachelors degree with 8 years + of experience in Pharma (Biotech) Preferred.
• Very Good skills with SAP SD (Preferred), MM, FICO a plus. MS Offfice
• Good Knowledge of GDP and Cold Chain Knowledge.
• Very good English verbal and oral, and other European Language a plus

Travel:  Approximately 30%

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

• Active coordination with Country (Commercial), Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and outsourced Vendors such as 3PL.
• Be the voice of BeiGene with European Vendors relating to Distribution and their sub-dimensions.
