Description

JOB SUMMARY:    
This job requires the individual to be highly organized and detail-oriented.  This role involves providing administrative support to various divisions within the Business and Commercial Services department.  You will be required to work very closely with your team members and occasionally members of the Credit Union.  Position will be responsible for performing all post-closing loan functions in addition to ensure quality control is performed on all loan closings.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Book closed loans to the core accurately and within three business days after receipt of loan package.
  • Performs quality control on closed loans for proper document execution and adherence to approval terms.
  • Complete weekly reports – i.e. Delinquency Report, Paid Off Report, Release Tracking Report, Pending Recorded Docs, etc. Provide back-up monthly reporting – i.e. Maturing Loans Report, Covenant & Tickler Report, Periodic Review Report, ALM and Board Reporting.
  • Perform loan payment corrections, loan payment adjustments, and loan fee refunds when requested.
  • Monitoring the Business Services Support email folder and Synapsys for resolving any issue, or routing to the appropriate party, as required.
  • Periodically review and track flood insurance and property taxes on all insurable and taxed collateral. Work with blanket insurance vendor and property tax servicing vendors to cover any exceptions. Gather any necessary documents for a blanket policy claim when needed.
  • Ensures that loan documents and recorded security interest documents are scanned into Nautilus and imported into Business and Commercial Services’ Loan Operating System.
  • Backs up Loan Servicing Team Lead with GL Balancing and resolving discrepancies with Accounting
  • Backs up LOS Admin for simple tasks, i.e. resetting passwords for unlocking users
  • Checking and sorting the mail, and posting loan payments, when applicable.
  • Processes Line of Credit advance requests; Backs up Loan Servicing Team Lead with construction draws, and loan participation advances, as needed.
  • Follow up on lien perfection documentation and other pending items after closing.
  • Provides loan payoff quotes, and payoff letters, as needed.
  • Processes document and collateral releases for paid loans, as needed.
  • Backs up Business and Commercial Services’ Deposit Operations with any questions from Branch Operations regarding Member Business Deposit Accounts, including: opening procedures and requirements, debit card orders, check orders, business checks presented for processing (holds, cashing and acceptance).
  • Maintain knowledge of branch operations by completing Deposit Regulation and Product and Service Certification courses.
  • Assists the Commercial Loan Processor on loan documentation processes.
  • Proactively demonstrate the TVFCU core values of integrity, honesty, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, accountability and strong relationships in every interaction with members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  

  • High School Diploma and Associate Degree in Business or related work experience
  • Two years of financial services experience, preferably in Business/Commercial lending environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe
  • Knowledge of TVFCU loan systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a multitude of assignments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining quality work
  • Ability to maintain positive interactions and confidentiality with members, coworkers, and department team members
  • Deep knowledge of business and commercial banking products and services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with members, staff and management
