Description

Title: Director of Paid Search

Location: Remote 


 The Director of Paid Search is responsible for leading and executing paid search campaigns to drive revenue, acquire customers and achieve business goals. They will be responsible for managing a team, developing and implementing strategies, optimizing campaigns and staying up-to-date with industry trends. They will also oversee the day-to-day execution of Paid Search marketing initiatives. All digital campaigns are dedicated to generating high-quality leads while meeting aggressive marketing performance and ROI goals. This individual should be a strong leader and analytical thinker with a long-term vision of performance-oriented PPC marketing. The right candidate should be data-driven, detail-oriented and possess a love for driving results. 


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The anticipated annual salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill levels.

Requirements

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive paid search strategies aligned with business objectives, including market research, competitor analysis and targeting strategies. 
  • Oversee the execution, optimization and performance analysis of paid search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. 
  • Manage and optimize multimillion-dollar advertising budgets, ensuring efficient spend and strong ROI. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of paid search specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and data-driven decision-making. 
  • Analyze campaign performance, identify opportunities for improvement and report on key metrics like conversion rates, cost-per-acquisition and customer lifetime value. 
  • Continuously optimize campaigns by testing and refining ad copy, keywords, targeting and landing pages. 
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams, data analytics and other relevant departments to refine the customer sales journey and enhance overall campaign alignment. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools and strategies in the paid media space.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE 8+ years of experience working in digital marketing 
  • MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience with a concentration in SEM, video or display  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in search campaign management
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred – Major in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Communications (School of Business Degrees) 
  • Direct experience with interactive marketing and media strategy, planning, campaign management and campaign performance against SLAs and KPIs 
  • Proven track record in driving results in Google and Bing advertising across both text-based advertising and display/native/video campaigns 
  • Experience managing Search, Discovery, YouTube, Display, PMax campaigns 
  • Experience with Media channels, including Paid Social and Video Ads
  • Demonstrated ability to manage direct-response type marketing campaigns 
  • Experience in conversion rate optimization for lead gen campaigns 
  • Advanced experience with Excel, marketing and advertising tools 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Experience managing Business ROI/Outcomes 
  • Prior experience managing team operations and execution (e.g. budget pacing, optimization, campaign set up, processes)  
  • Lead, collaborate and mentor a team of paid search specialists and analysts to drive performance, strategy, optimization, implementation and reporting
