Job description

Reporting to the Sr Director, Program Operations, Internet2 is searching for an enthusiastic, compliance-focused, and detail-oriented individual who can support grant program management. 

Responsibilities:

Expense Management
  • Review and reconcile expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review receipts and documentation for compliance with funding agency and company policies
  • Prepare regular expense summaries for management review
Grants Administration
  • Support the full lifecycle of grants, from application to reporting and closeout
  • Maintain organized records of grant requirements, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Assist with the preparation of grant reports and ensure compliance with funder requirements
  • Track grant expenditures against approved budgets and flag any discrepancies or unusual spending patterns
  • Liaise with program staff to gather necessary information for grant submissions and reports
Program Support
  • Coordinate logistics for program activities and events
  • Maintain and update program databases and filing systems
  • Assist with data collection and analysis for program evaluation
  • Prepare program-related correspondence and documentation
  • Support the development and implementation of program processes and procedures
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Non-profit Management or equivalent education plus experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in grants administration or operational role, preferably in a non-profit or university environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites, specifically Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Travel to community meetings and conferences will be expected several times per year

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Working knowledge of 2CFR200
  • Experience with grants management and/or expense reporting systems
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Project management experience
  • Familiarity with database management
  • Prior experience in a non-profit, educational, or similar setting

Salary Range / Pay Grade:

$68,800 - $103,200 / B-5 

Starting pay is typically from the minimum up to the midpoint of the grade range and varies based on experience.
