Job description

Job Title:Cybersecurity Lead



Location: Virtual 

Other Consideration: U.S. Citizen (Required) 


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Lead to support the day to day activities across multiple teams of cyber security related resources. This individual will be responsible for identifying ways to level up the team's skills, provide action plans to address performance, and support implementation of evolving standards from leadership. This is a hands on role for a seasoned contributor who understands the ins and outs of NIST, FIPS 199, and Risk Management Framework implementation.  



Key Responsibilities 

  • Anticipate Delivery Needs by collaborating with stakeholders across teams and Statements of Work to adjust strategies and ensure the alignment of delivery efforts with evolving client expectations. 
  • Ongoing Team Growth through a keen attention to industry and Government standards, a determination to raise the water level across teams and see growth in individual contributors as well as the customers perception of team quality.  
  • Identify Gaps Across Practices by initiating constructive dialogues with leadership across teams, developing strategies to improve the delivery lifecycle, and optimizing cross-functional team collaboration for better results. 
  • Maintain Delivery Portfolio Awareness by overseeing progress across multiple delivery areas, providing high-level guidance to ensure comprehensive oversight and alignment with business objectives and customer expectations. 
  • Conduct Productive Team and Practice Meetings by encouraging participation and fostering idea exchange. Lead strategy sessions, ensuring all teams are aligned on goals and priorities for successful execution. 
  • Collaborate Across Cross-Functional Teams to ensure that all security related delivery teams are aligned and working toward the same goals, leveraging industry best practices, driving continuous alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Lead Leaders by bringing a culture of curiosity, drive to do better, and determination to develop individual contributors.  
  • Develop Teams participating in Authorization and Assessment (A&A) activities, including security control reviews and artifact preparation. Drive team standards to quarter over quarter improve compliance scores and efficiency.  


 

Qualifications 


 

  • Masters degree in computer science or related field
  • 10+ years managing diverse teams, including subcontractors 
  • 5+ years of federal information systems security experience 
  • 5+ years hands on Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience 
  • Familiarity with a variety of security compliance frameworks 
  • In-depth knowledge of federal information system security policy, industry best practices, security control assessments, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) management, system authorizations, configuration management, and system analysis  



Certification:



  • CISSP or comparable industry standard credentials
