Job Purpose & Impact

The Quantitative User Experience Researcher (UXR) combines expertise in statistics, user experience, and data science to deliver high-impact insights that shape product and business strategy. As part of AnswerLab’s research team, you’ll partner with Fortune 500 clients across industries to design and execute rigorous, actionable studies.

You’ll lead research that spans traditional surveys, segmentation, prototype testing, tracking studies, and more, translating data into clear, strategic recommendations for stakeholders at all levels. You’ll also contribute to team growth by mentoring peers and championing best practices in quantitative research.

The ideal candidate is a creative, client-focused problem solver with deep fluency in quantitative methods, comfort navigating large datasets, and the ability to translate statistical outputs into compelling, business-relevant insights. You bring clarity to complexity by aligning data storytelling with stakeholder needs, and you’re excited to explore new technologies—including AI-assisted workflows—to drive impact. You have a collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment aligned within East and West Coast hours.

Role Responsibilities

  • Execute rigorous quantitative research that addresses user and consumer behaviors, attitudes, and decision-making patterns
  • Effectively apply a range of generative and evaluative quantitative research methods and analytical techniques, grounded in a deep understanding of statistical rigor and experimental design
  • Generate insights that drive both tactical improvements and strategic decisions, using creative and compelling messaging strategies tailored to diverse audiences
  • Lead the design, programming, fielding, and analysis of high-quality, domestic and international surveys, leveraging appropriate tools and vendors for execution
  • Maintain a high standard of research quality in a fast-paced environment; independently manage and prioritize multiple concurrent client research initiatives
  • Implement creative, client-focused problem-solving techniques while considering broader business objectives and product contexts
  • Collaborate closely with client teams (across all AnswerLab industries), internal partners, vendors, and technology providers to align research efforts with strategic goals
    • Serve as a consultative partner to clients by identifying quant opportunities aligned with their business challenges and articulating the value of proposed methodologies in clear, actionable terms
    • Proactively communicate research progress, implications, and recommended actions to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze large, complex datasets using R and/or other statistical tools, ensuring data integrity  and actionable interpretation
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance workflows using statistical analysis tools or automation strategies to improve consistency
  • Translate complex research findings into intuitive, visual narratives and summaries that help non-technical stakeholders understand and act on the results with confidence
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing by providing methodological guidance and support
  • Work independently on complex programs and partner with qualitative UX researchers to produce comprehensive, integrated insights
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, helping shape the broader direction of the research practice
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in user experience research, and actively share new approaches with the broader team

This role reports to the Research Manager.
