Senior Platform Operations Associate 

We are seeking a Senior Platform Operations Associate to join our Platform Operations team in our Belfast, ME location. This role will focus on leveraging AI tools and strong analytics capabilities to drive process optimization. The Senior Platform Operations Associate will be responsible for quickly learning the business process problems that our zone builds tools to address, and the opportunities we have to improve our key performance metrics. This individual will have extremely strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate business problems and lead cross-functional teams to build impactful solutions. They will be a true leader in their space and be able to evangelize their process vision to stakeholders. 

Team 

The Platform Operations team supports our Platform customers by managing issues and enabling products such as APIs, Data View, athenaPayer, and Coordinator Core. We work closely with product teams to design and implement operations for evolving Platform products and partnerships. We leverage the skill sets learned from scaling operations for our Platform offerings to act as a shared service, collaborating with other operations teams to drive process improvements and achieve scaled outcomes. Job Responsibilities 

  • Lead complex discovery and assessment engagements to identify and diagnose process improvement opportunities. 

  • Design automation solutions and technical architectures to enhance operational efficiency, managing strategic automation projects end-to-end. 

  • Mentor Local Builders, providing technical guidance and developing training materials to foster skill development and methodology improvements. 

  • Leverage AI tools and strong analytics capabilities to drive process optimization and help design, build, and maintain tools that improve processes. 

  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define business strategy, articulate business requirements, and organize ongoing backlog allocations. 

  • Track metrics and success criteria to create visibility into program success and identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new AI technologies and product capabilities, while enthusiastically sharing knowledge with others. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or other related fields preferred, or equivalent experience. 

  • Strong understanding of APIs, SQL, data management, and platform services; technical proficiency in Python and experience with LLMs and agentic frameworks. 

  • Familiarity with the athenaHealth data landscape (Snowflake, Salesforce, etc.) and understanding of the healthcare/health IT environment, particularly in Revenue Cycle. 

  • 2+ years of healthcare/health IT experience; agile experience is a plus. 

  • Demonstrated success in driving innovation using analytic capabilities to empower stakeholders to use their data effectively. 

  • Strong consulting and facilitation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, assess workflows, and identify areas for improvement, with excellent attention to detail in documentation and process management. 

  • Project management capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
