What You Will Do

As the Director for National Accounts HVAC & Fire Systems and Services, you will lead the development and execution of business strategies that drive growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction across the HVAC and Fire domains. You will oversee national account teams, manage key service initiatives, and champion digital transformation efforts to enhance field service delivery and profitability. Your role will focus on aligning JCI’s solutions with client outcomes, leveraging market insights, and positioning JCI as a leader in smart building technologies.

How You will Do it

Strategic Leadership & Business Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive North American business plan for HVAC & Fire services, integrating growth strategies, digital initiatives, and customer experience enhancements.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to define value propositions and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

  • Partner with Product Management to influence solution roadmaps and establish market-based pricing strategies.

Team & Performance Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of Regional Directors and National Account teams.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs and reporting metrics to drive performance across business units.

  • Ensure consistent processes for market assessment, skill evaluation, and training effectiveness.

Service Transformation & Digital Initiatives

  • Drive the adoption of HVAC equipment service initiatives and digital technologies across the field organization.

  • Define program scope, budgets, and implementation plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Support field adoption through training, marketing, and change management strategies.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers to support solution delivery and satisfaction.

  • Oversee account planning and customer satisfaction evaluations.

  • Collaborate globally to share best practices and support common service initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Act as a business owner for assigned initiatives, managing risks, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.

  • Present solutions and progress to executives and field leadership, holding teams accountable for results.

What We Look For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Engineering or technical degree preferred. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in technical solutions sales, HVAC industry, or service operations.

  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.

  • Strong knowledge of smart building technologies, digital service offerings, and customer-centric strategies.

  • Experience in project management, including PMP or Six Sigma certification (preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, and data platforms like Power BI and SharePoint.
