Operations Support Officers execute essential mission support functions and resolve tactical issues and problems.
Responsibilities
Apply relevant policies, regulations, and procedures to perform routine support functions
Recommend and/or execute workflow and process improvements within own scope of responsibility
Contribute to the product of several programs and/or government agencies for collaborative workflow
Process moderate volumes of material in electronic or paper form
Communicate orally to individuals and small groups
Effectively write routine correspondence, reports, and communications
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key customers and service providers with government direction
Provide assistance and instruction to customers on matters relating to travel requirements
Organize and monitor requests, correspondence, and reports to ensure timely responses
Required Skills/Qualifications
TS/SCI with Polygraph
BS/BA degree and 2 years of experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of State, Military or DoD; in lieu of a degree, 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted
Prior OCONUS travel experience (TDY or PCS)
Excellent oral communication and written communication skills
Ability to manage own time and commitments to meet fixed deadlines and fulfill customer expectations
Ability to use good judgment, set priorities within own workload, and develop effective decision-making skills within scope of responsibility
Ability to analyze and interpret standard data and common policies
Ability to establish and maintain regular contacts with outside agencies and resources, supplying or seeking information on matters within own expertise
