About Penbrothers

Penbrothers is an HR & remote talent management partner and one of the fastest growing companies in the Philippines. We provide talented Filipinos with global opportunities in high-growth startups and dynamic companies, from the comfort of their own homes.

About the Client

Our client is on a mission to take the guesswork out of moving dirt -reducing wasted fuel, time, and money. We do this through the power of maps. Our customers use integrated hardware and software products to capture accurate 3D versions of their worksites using drones.

With over 45,000 worksites worldwide using smart survey technology, we empower project teams to map, measure, and manage site activity. Our client empowers everyone to approach, own, and solve problems creatively. We’re data nerds who care about impact, honesty, and each other. We take pride in being a great place to work and are proud to be recognized as a Fast Company and BuiltIn Best Place to Work.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding organization, is seeking an experienced HR People Partner to join their team in the Philippines. With over 80 employees in Manila, this is a pivotal opportunity to directly influence our culture, drive compliance, and foster professional growth within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Senior People & Talent Manager in Sydney, you'll be instrumental in shaping a workplace where every individual feels empowered to collaborate, innovate, and make a real impact.

As their HR People Partner, your role will be highly strategic and hands-on. You'll be the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters in the Philippines, leveraging your deep expertise in local labor laws to navigate complex situations while also collaborating with global colleagues on exciting new initiatives. You'll play a crucial role in coaching leaders, ensuring organizational effectiveness, and maintaining a positive and compliant work environment.

What you’ll do

  • Be the go-to expert on Philippine labor laws: Proactively ensure all policies and practices are compliant and up-to-date, guiding the organization on local legislative requirements.

  • Drive performance and accountability: Partner with managers to design and implement effective performance management processes, including guiding on organizational structuring, job leveling, salary grades, and salary ranges.

  • Expertly manage employee relations: Oversee and resolve employee concerns, including disciplinary cases and behavioral issues, ensuring fair processes and compliance.

  • Champion a psychologically safe culture: Foster an environment where employees and managers feel comfortable providing and receiving feedback, balancing employee needs with business objectives.

  • Strategic thought partner: Provide guidance to leaders on challenging conversations and complex employee situations, acting as a trusted advisor to both employees and the business.

  • Collaborate globally: Work closely with the global People team to develop and implement HR policies and technical solutions that align with company goals and employee needs.

  • Promote diversity and inclusion: Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to champion DEI initiatives throughout the entire employee journey, from hiring to retention.

  • Utilize data for impact: Leverage data to inform decisions, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvements across the organization.

  • Oversee compliance: Work with our Employer of Record to manage employee contracts and compliance, ensuring accurate and secure employee data.
