ReDiscover is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to add to our Partial Hospitalization Program!

ReDiscover has been known for over 50 years as a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for the people we serve.  Our diverse team of over 700 employees is “Passionate About People” as we support our community, specifically those whose lives have been affected by a mental illness or substance use.

 

WHAT WE DO

Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP) provides acute stabilization through intensive individual and group therapy with a treatment team approach utilizing various therapy techniques. In this program, the team-centric approach helps each individual client on a short term basis, typically 1-3 weeks in length in an outpatient day treatment setup.

 

At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and interact with a caseload of 7-10 clients with diverse characteristics.
  • Evaluate client’s mental health condition based on review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation and diagnostics.
  • Collect information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests to prepare and maintain treatment records and reports.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience, knowledge, and understanding of the client’s information and history.
  • Counsels clients, individually and in group sessions specific to the program format, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment.
  • Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover’s designated electronic medical record.
  • Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care on a daily basis.

We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.  However, here are some things that you will need before starting with ReDiscover:

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health) required.
  • Must have a minimum of a Provisional License (LMSW, PLPC, or MFT) in the State of Missouri.
  • Ability to work a regular schedule of Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
