Project Cost Estimator

Description

This is a Hybrid position that includes working 3-days per week in our Owatonna facility and remote 2-days.  Ideal candidates will live within a 50-mile radius of our Owatonna facility.  Additional considerations may be afforded to candidates that reside outside of a 50-mile radius from our Owatonna facility.

Our team in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Project Cost Estimator to promote sales of Wenger Corporation products on a profit basis by providing technical information, sales proposals, and bids to prospective customers.

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 2 years work experience
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to learn product/application knowledge
• Ability to make decisions involving complex sales/profit relationships
• Ability to read architectural drawings
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and to operate with continually changing priority needs

Highly qualified candidates may also possess:

• A college degree

As a Project Cost Estimator, a typical day may include:

• Providing estimating support to assigned Sales Region(s)
• Supplying recommendations for product application solutions for specific project requirements
• Coordinating information requests for drawings, cost estimates, etc., with other company departments
• Providing technical information and proposals for developing projects
• Making pricing decisions and estimation within prescribed limits on a project-to-project basis
• Preparing and distributing quotes/bids on projects
• Recording and reporting bid activity in assigned regions
• Reviewing and negotiating customer contracts to verify accurate scope of work

Pay information reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position based on current market data. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Additional Compensation: Up to 10% annual bonus.
