This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Part-time (24 hours/week) Monday to Wednesday 9am to 6pm (1 hour unpaid break)

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the construction industry as a Construction Takeoff and Administrative Assistant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the company’s project acquisition and growth strategy. You’ll be responsible for analyzing technical construction drawings, performing precise takeoffs, and managing critical project documentation that directly impacts the company’s ability to win new business. This role combines technical skills with administrative expertise, offering diverse daily responsibilities from interpreting complex demolition plans to organizing digital assets for marketing purposes. Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret detailed demolition drawings and construction plans with precision and accuracy
  • Perform comprehensive takeoffs by extracting measurements and quantities from technical drawings
  • Organize and input measurement data and project specifications into Excel spreadsheets for quote preparation
  • Research and gather project information from industry platforms including Estimate One (150+ weekly opportunities)
  • Draft professional RFIs (Requests for Information) to clarify missing or unclear project specifications
  • Communicate effectively with clients via email regarding project details and requirements
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for project management and business operations
  • Assist in quote preparation and documentation to support business development efforts

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction, demolition, or engineering drawings
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and documentation
  • Exceptional attention to detail for accurate measurements and precise data entry
  • Strong written English communication skills for professional client correspondence
