We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Technology Standardization team within our Product Management organization. This is a high-impact and critical role that offers the opportunity to design, refine, and optimize core capabilities, enabling secure, scalable, and efficient inter service communication across our ecosystem. By building a strong foundation for seamless service interactions, this role is pivotal in future-proofing our ecosystem for growth, all the while ensuring end customers benefit from faster, more reliable experiences.

The Opportunity: 

  • As a Product Manager for service connectivity & governance, you will be instrumental in building scalable, secure, and efficient frameworks that ensure seamless service interactions, API management, and access control within our healthcare ecosystem. Your work will directly impact how critical applications and data are securely accessed and utilized, driving operational excellence while meeting evolving regulatory and client demands.
  • This is an opportunity to future-proof API connectivity, enabling developers, partners, and healthcare providers to deliver better, more secure patient care through optimized access patterns.
  • This position will work daily within scrum teams defining and writing user stories, prioritizing product backlogs, and making trade off decisions between scope and schedule.

  • You are an outcome-oriented Product Manager
  • You have experience collaborating with Developers/Engineers/Architects as stakeholders.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to propose the most appropriate approach for the need at hand; and can quickly pivot if this approach fails.
  • You see the value in proactively making recommendations for ongoing support (updates, self-service)
  • You have demonstrated success at driving results in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities. 
  • You have experience working with colleagues to broaden or narrow the scope of a problem; to enable action and create manageable efforts
  • You are interested in industry developments and trends.

The Team:

The Internal Developer Platform team provides the tools and patterns to enable users to interact with the appropriate tools and data at the right time and place to provide high-quality, accessible care for all. We believe this role to be a strategic enabler for scalable and efficient healthcare solutions, being the driver for high-impact service connectivity, with seamless integration and governance, enabling secure and reliable data exchanges, and with fast, compliant access to critical applications, ensuring scalability, trust, and improved care delivery.
 
Job Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy, ensuring continuity with team goals.
  • Continue driving self-service capabilities, to minimize developer friction.
  • Build upon existing observability and governance models & needs, refining scalability and security.
  • Strengthen partnerships with engineering, DevOps, and security teams, ensuring smooth evolution for the platform.
  • Extend work on key platform metrics and KPIs, refining benchmarks for success.
  • Drive ongoing efficiency initiatives, improving latency, automation, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Champion interoperability with observability, access control, policy enforcements & developer experience across distributed or hybrid systems.
  • Contribute to a product vision, develop business cases, ensure a product (or set of product features) meets business requirements, and drive the creation and delivery of the product.  
  • Define epics and user stories- clearly articulating business requirements for the problems we’re trying to solve, with a strong focus on outcomes and end user value. 
  • Drive ongoing backlog allocations and prioritization of opportunities 

Typical Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of total experience, including at least 3 years in a Product Management role. 
  • Experience working with stakeholders in a dynamic, environment across cross-functional groups 
  • Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development environments 
  • Experience in specializing with API platforms and service communication, with expertise in scalability, security, and governance would be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and engage on highly technical details of a problem – you should be able to hold your own as a technical SME with architects and engineering stakeholders. 
  • Exposure to cloud-native environments, containerization technologies (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
  • Partner with Product Management leaders to drive portfolio and product strategy 
  • Understanding of healthcare / health IT environment a plus
