Position Summary
The Licensing Administrator is responsible for reviewing bound surplus lines policies to ensure the correct license information is used, and collect any required state documents, as well as providing support to the Licensing Manager in driving Hub’s compliance initiatives. The Licensing Administrator will play a key role in Hub’s compliance in the licensing space, specifically in the non-admitted market.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an independent, positive, detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt well to change.
Responsibilities
Review surplus lines policies to ensure the correct license information is used and collect any state required documents
Follow up with producers and service teams to ensure we receive any compliance forms before state filing deadlines
Become well versed with Hub’s policy management software, creating activities, attaching documentation, and notating progress on each activity
Work cross-functionally with the surplus lines tax filing team to ensure they have all necessary items to file the taxes before deadlines
Establish and maintain portal access across state tax filing platforms for our agency and individual agents
Create and maintain licensing reports of all surplus lines licensees under our agency
Work with the licensing M&A team for acquisitions that write non-admitted business
Ad Hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Must be able to meet deadlines, work with a sense of urgency and have excellent customer service skills
Strong desire to learn and foster a community of compliance
Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data
Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independently
Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Two years’ work experience in the insurance industry preferred
Property & Casualty Insurance license preferred or the ability to attain applicable insurance licensing
Education
Some College Preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
