Central Life Sciences is searching for a Purchasing Analyst in our Dallas, TX location. This position will prepare and analyze data as well as manage the processes related to the procurement and manufacturing of raw materials, components and 3rd party finished goods. As well as aid in follow-up on all supplier/Procurement related communications and needs.
Key Responsibilities
Create various reports using a combination of several programs.
Able to analyze data and summarize key relevant points for management review and use.
Will track OTD of various urgent Purchases orders; communicate with suppliers and all internal departments on status.
Monitor raw material and in-process inventories.
Monitors supplier and contract manufacturer performance monthly and communicates this information to Buyers and their vendor contacts.
Create and manage databases for Purchasing.
Exercise analytical skills and logic to follow prescribed procedures and meet specified standards.
Administrate Supplier Performance Program to include, but not limited to, measurements through reports, graphs, compilation of data and communication with purchasing, planning, suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Administrate all procurement-related reports, including but not limited to; supplier information, approved and none approved lists, risk programs, Commodity market tracking.
Aid and support all commodity bid exercises
Compliant to governmental guidelines, rules and regulations as applicable.
Qualifications
Associates degree in related field.
At least 3 years of relatable experience.
Ability to learn quickly, particularly in planning and purchasing concepts.
Excellent analytical skills for producing and analyzing data and summary reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills with verbal and written communications.
SAP or MRP system knowledge required.
Proficient at intermediate level Access and Excel computer programs.
Able to organize projects and/or data, think logically and apply problem resolution techniques.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Minimal off-site travel may be necessary.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs of product/samples may be necessary.
