Supervises and delegates work to the equipment cleaning technicians.
Safely and effectively perform all duties to prepare, clean and inspect containers.
Properly operate atmospheric testing equipment and understand the use and care of the equipment.
Maintain an environment of cleanliness and safety culture within the Wash Bays.
Ensure all employees are using the proper PPE in conformance with regulations.
Reviews SDS to ensure the correct methods of cleaning
Responsible for the staffing of department and training of new employees.
Plans work schedules to ensure customer needs are met with quality standards.
Data entry responsibility includes emissions from tank cleaning operation.
Ensure compliance with confined space procedures, recordkeeping and compliance.
Responsible for monthly environmental reporting
Communicate with management any issues or concerns involving employee relations, customers, safety and compliance.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
High School diploma or GED. Bachelors preferred.
5 - 7 years Supervisory experience
Equipment/tank cleaning experience (5 years).
Knowledge of equipment/tank cleaning chemicals (7 years preferred)
Knowledge of RCRA regulations preferred.
Skills Required:
Strong interviewing and hiring skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and customers
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ablilty to work independently and make operational decisions.
Explain and offer guidance to staff on procedures.
Solve issues by following clear directions and procedures.
Sets priorities and organize work within guidelines established
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Specific physical requirements/environmental exposures are an essential part of the job.
Normal work schedule is Monday – Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
After hours and weekend work may be required.
The following physical abilities, environments and equipment may be met during a typical working day:
Normal environment is in an office setting and outdoors.
Frequent heights, bending, reaching and standing.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pushing pulling up to 50 to 100 lbs.
Confined space entry is required.
Must wear proper PPE.
