Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Financial Specialist, to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with Finance Managers to support dynamic infrastructure and technology projects that have an impact on the world around us. This is more than just a finance role—it's a chance to collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure projects remain on track, on budget, and aligned with our strategic goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the development, tracking, and analysis of project budgets and forecasts

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

  • Collaborate with project teams to track expenditures, monitor financial performance, and mitigate risks

  • Assist with audits, cost proposals, and other financial documentation

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance reporting and operational efficiency

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent)

  • 2+ years work experience

  • Advanced in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, logic functions, data manipulation)

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience in dealing with various types of contracts (e.g., firm-fixed price, fixed-price with economic price adjustment, fixed-price incentive, cost reimbursement, cost sharing, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and time and material) is preferable.

Salary Range: $26.25 - $45.96
