Job description

At TechBiz Global, we are providing recruitment service to our TOP clients from our portfolio. We are currently seeking a Junior/Mid Accountant and Financial Controller to join one of our clients' teams. Reporting directly to our CFO, you will be responsible for:

Daily Accounting Oversight:

  • Supervise and manage daily accounting activities performed by the external accounting services provider.

  • Ensure adherence to best accounting practices and take charge of complex bookkeeping tasks as required.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Assist the CFO in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Compile budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports to support decision-making.

  • Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into financial performance and trends.

VAT and Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT and tax reports in collaboration with external partners.

  • Stay updated on VAT implications for international companies in digital services segments and ensure compliance.

Audit Preparation and Coordination:

  • Prepare for and actively participate in the annual audit process.

  • Coordinate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Financial Controls and Compliance:

  • Implement effective financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial documents support business operations.

  • Provide financial expertise and support to various teams as needed.

Xero Expertise and System Management:

  • Utilize Xero accounting software proficiently to manage financial transactions, integrations, and reporting.

  • Train and support team members on using Xero and other financial tools effectively.

Cryptocurrency Transactions:

  • Manage and oversee cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with financial reporting standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting, analysis, and operational efficiencies.

  • Implement best practices and streamline financial processes where possible.
