Salary Range: up to 4500 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PST)

Position Overview:

The Onboarding Lead - Finance will take charge of onboarding new clients by evaluating their current accounting systems, cleaning up financial records, and implementing efficient workflows and tools. You'll be the key liaison during onboarding, communicating directly with clients, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring a smooth transition. The role also includes conducting financial reviews and, depending on experience, contributing to FP&A initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Onboarding & Financial Systems Setup:

Lead end-to-end onboarding of new clients, reviewing and diagnosing existing accounting processes.
Clean up disorganized or incomplete books to bring them into compliance and readiness.
Design and implement improved processes, workflows, and software tools tailored to each client.
Collaborate with senior accountants to delegate and execute onboarding tasks.

Client Communication & Relationship Management:

Serve as the main point of contact for clients during onboarding, primarily via email and Zoom.
Build trust through clear, proactive communication and thoughtful guidance.
Conduct financial reviews for ongoing clients managed by other accounting managers.

FP&A Support (as applicable):

Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Generate reports and offer insights to support client strategy and decision-making.

Qualifications:

Strong accounting or financial management experience.
Familiarity with accounting software; QBO preferred, but experience with other platforms (QuickBooks Desktop, Sage, Netsuite) is also valuable.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple clients and collaborate cross-functionally.
Experience with U.S.-based clients or accounting practices is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of US GAAP.

Nice-to-Haves:

Background in an outsourced accounting firm with responsibility for multiple client accounts.
Exposure to financial planning and analysis work.
Prior auditing experience.
