Compensation: $55,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Exempt status will be based on the level of experience and scope of responsibilities.

In this job, you will ensure Jenson USA has the products our customers love! A successful candidate will support both the Category Merchants and Category Specialists in daily tasks such as pricing, item creation, marketing, merchandise selection, and analysis. This position will also have ownership and financial responsibility of a sub-category or company program to develop the skills and strategic outlook necessary to fill future Category Merchant positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Owns financials, assortment, strategy, and all daily tasks for program or sub-class under merchant/management supervision.
- Drives product, policy, communications, business development, marketing, and inventory initiatives in a holistic manner.
- Assists with development and execution of pricing strategy for Category Merchants, including monitoring competitor pricing in key classifications.
- Assists Category Specialists with item creation, item maintenance, and merchant support.
- Generates and analyzes relevant vendor and category performance as it relates to market trends.
- Partners with vendors to improve processes and procedures within the supply chain.
- Identifies emerging and declining market trends and the associated risks.
- Assists in the development of long-term product planning and inventory commitments for key vendors.
- Research and recommend growth opportunities in existing or new categories and provide relevant pricing and cost/benefit analysis.
- Proactively seeks out opportunities to learn and grow as a merchant with the goal of filling future Category Merchant openings.
- Partners with cross-functional teams on innovative strategies to drive sales.
- Drives and/or supports company priority initiatives.
- Other special assignments as the business requires.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bike and components knowledge is a must.
- Merchandising experience needed. Assistant Buyer/Merchant or supporting positions.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an online retail environment. Relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
- Execution-driven, growth-oriented, ownership mindset to drive performance against KPIs.
- Ability to effectively manage cross-functional coordination.
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system and excellent capability using Microsoft Suite of programs.
