The 84,000 square-foot hotel features design inspiration from theproperty’s iconic and historic setting. Morris Adjmi took inspiration from the surrounding bungalow community. Incorporating aspects of the porches, clapboard and cedar exteriors, the hotel’s exterior features represented in the design asthetic throughout the building. On the interior, materials such as teak, linen, wool, leather and rattan create an eclectic, retro, and calming atmosphere throughout the hotel, complemented by a soothing color palette with rose pink and dusty blue. The hotel’s design creates a relaxing environment without losing the liveliness of nearby New York City. The lobby features textural details, curvy accessories and bold shapes with a touch of Scandinavian design.The hotel features 53 guest rooms and 8 long stay residences, withall rooms boasting either an Atlantic Ocean or Jamaica Bay with theManhattan skyline. All ocean facing rooms offer outdoor terraces tofurther soak up the scenery and salt air. All accommodations offer ataste of coastal living and are beautifully appointed with a soothingcool décor influenced by the pastel colors of the ocean, sand, andsky with custom wooden furnishings and distinctive local artwork.The hotel boasts four F&B concepts operated by IGC Hospitality.MARGIE’SHelmed by IGC Hospitality, Margie’s anchors The Rockaway Hotel’sfood and beverage program.
