Job description

We're seeking a highly motivated and successful Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a proven track record in SDR or BDR roles. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with at least a year of dedicated prospecting experience, ideally in software, who understands how to engage with technical audiences like engineers, cybersecurity teams, app developers, and cloud architects. You'll be the crucial first point of contact, identifying and qualifying leads, and setting the stage for our sales team's success. We'll provide comprehensive training on our industry and offerings, helping you become an expert in our solutions.


Hybrid Work Arrangement: 3 days in the office in New York, NY, and 2 days working from home


Salary Range: $75-85K OTE - Range may vary based on experience


Key Responsibilities:

  • Building Relationships: Engage cold leads through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to build trust and interest, with a focus on technical audiences.
  • Qualifying Leads: Evaluate marketing leads and conduct in-depth research on potential clients within cyber, IT, and engineering to determine fit and alignment with our solutions.
  • Presenting: Introduce the company and align clients with suitable products or services, articulating value to technical decision-makers.
  • Sales Support: Join sales meetings, collaborate with Account Executives, and report on prospecting activities to management.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate customer data in our CRM and schedule follow-ups to nurture prospects.
  • Pipeline Generation: Initiate conversations with new prospects weekly via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events to build a strong pipeline, focusing on outbound prospecting.
  • Targeted Research: Research target accounts to identify key decision-makers within cybersecurity, IT, and engineering teams, and personalize messaging to qualify interest and generate new opportunities.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with Account Executives and marketing to create and implement pipeline strategies, focusing on outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up.


Experience:

  • 1-2 years of successful experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR) role.
  • At least 1 year of dedicated prospecting experience, ideally in the software industry, with a strong understanding of how to reach and engage with technical audiences (e.g., engineers, cybersecurity teams, app developers, cloud architects).
  • Enthusiasm for building a pipeline of prospective customers and a natural curiosity for new technologies.
  • Strong attention to process and detail in managing leads and outreach.
  • Demonstrated experience with cold calling and other outbound prospecting techniques.
  • A results-driven attitude with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to learn and internalize new industry knowledge and product offerings quickly.


Technical Skills:

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce).
