Senior Analyst Client Solutions Product Finance

Client Solutions Product Finance provides financial and non-financial management reporting, operational support, analytical insight and decision support to our business partners. We are also responsible for ensuring a robust financial control framework exists and operates effectively to safeguard the IB&M business. 

Do work that matters 

This role is part of Client Solutions Product Finance team, which sits within IB&M Finance. This role is permanent and will report directly into the Manager - Client Solutions Product Finance.  

This role supports the leasing and lending businesses. The leasing business create structured solutions to support client financing needs in acquiring moveable fixed assets such as aircraft, ships, trains and major production and manufacturing equipment. The lending business originates, structures, arranges & underwrites senior debt in support of Institutional clients. 

The team works closely with the leadership, execution and post deal management teams as well as with other members of the IB&M Finance team. 
 
This roles impact and contribution includes but is not limited to: 

• Supporting the Structured Asset Finance and Lending business 

• Providing robust financial and management reporting, and compliance outcomes based on a strong foundation of financial control 

• Working with senior stakeholders in providing decision support and analysis with actionable insight 

• Being the voice of finance in key interactions with the business and various project teams 

• Developing strong relationships across the Group built on integrity and trust

The role includes, however is not limited, to the following: 

• Delivery of financial results, board papers, financial statements, journals/reconciliations, cash flow management, income tax and BAS returns, regulatory and statutory reports 

• Delivery of month end processing, reconciliations and half – and full-year group consolidation packs, for the CBA Group half-year and annual reports 

• Delivery of the weekly Global Lending Report 

• Partnering and maintaining effective relationships with various business and finance customers to support the delivery of business outcomes 

• Intra month P&L and FX exposure monitoring for Lending & Leasing 

• Responsibility for performing processes to deliver key system and balance sheet reconciliations and actively managing reconciliation exceptions 

• Ad hoc business-related analytics and insights 

• Support the delivery of Leasing and Lending business strategic priorities 

• A background in financial control  

• Knowledge of the financial reporting framework and strong technical skills, including AIFRS 

• Strong numeracy, finance and accounting skills 

• Ability to problem-solve, multitask, manage and meet competing deadlines 

• Strong commercial acumen 

• Experience in financial modelling 

• Experience in financial account preparation 

• Ability to innovate and drive process improvements 

• Experience with SQL, Alteryx or other analytical tools 

• Experience in the Financial Services Sector – Leasing and Lending experience would be advantageous
