We’re seeking a passionate and resourceful Student Advisor to join our team. • Maintain a secondary core role in engagement, teaching, or administrative duties to support the school while not advising

  • Conduct frequent advising meetings via video conference to review academic progress, set goals, and provide guidance on educational and career plans

  • Monitor progress of students between advising calls to identify potential indicators of struggle or need for support, and then provide resources and coaching as appropriate

  • Maintain detailed records of student interactions, advising sessions, and communications

  • Work in concert with Student Support Specialists, Academic Counselors, and teachers to target students for intervention, identifying the most effective strategies for each student

  • Partner with the Engagement Coordinator to investigate, experiment, and initiate student engagement opportunities

  • Engage with students in online social spaces, clubs, and events, fostering a safe and supportive online community

  • Participate in regular meetings with other MOHS staff and faculty members to discuss student advising and engagement strategies

  • Act as a liaison between students, families, and school administration to ensure clear and effective communication
