Job description

Orbus Software.png

We are looking for a mid-level AQA to join a skilled development squad. You will be joining a department of 70+ engineers across 8 squads, each with ownership for specific domains within our flagship SaaS based enterprise architecture product, OrbusINFINITY. Application components are built to run natively in Microsoft Azure, across a tech stack utilizing C# .Net 8, React, Typescript, CosmosDB, SQL, Containers and Kubernetes, with a Micro-frontend and Microservice architecture, continuously deployed to a multiregional highly available infrastructure. Public REST APIs make our platform the hub for numerous integrations to external services and applications.

As part of the role, you will work closely within your squad with other Automation QAs, full stack Developers, a dedicated Product Owner and Scrum Master, to ensure that high quality solutions are produced to solve real user problems. We have various well established testing solutions such as Functional UI Testing, API Integration Tests, UI Component Integration Tests, API Performance Tests and regular Unit and Integration Tests. As an Automation QA, you will be designing test scenarios and choosing the appropriate test solution to ensure high quality and repeatable testing of application components.

We operate Scrum for day-to-day development activities, wrapped with quarterly strategic planning to set the vision and goals for the coming quarter. We follow leading development practices, incorporating TDD, automated CI/CD, a “shift-left” testing mindset and a focus on producing S.O.L.I.D maintainable code that can be released quickly and to a high quality. To assist with this, we have a comprehensive DevOps  process with dedicated teams responsible for assisting squads with build and release processes using Azure DevOps, Git and Azure. We have various Communities of Practice (Guilds) covering such areas as architecture, quality, agile practices, and DevOps, which you will be involved with.

At Orbus, agile isn’t just a process—it’s a mindset that underpins everything we do. We believe in the core principles of agile: collaboration, transparency, adaptability, and continuous improvement. But above all, we believe in empowering every team member to take responsibility and ownership for the work they do and the outcomes we achieve together.

In our teams, you’ll be trusted to make decisions, voice your ideas, and take initiative—whether it’s improving a process, solving a problem, or helping a colleague. We value people who step up, take accountability, and aren’t afraid to own both their successes and mistakes. You’ll find an environment where feedback is welcomed, learning is constant, and experimentation is encouraged. Our teams self-organize, iterate quickly, and deliver value early and often, always with a focus on shared goals and collective success.

Our projects use cutting edge technology, and as such we encourage our teams stay ahead of current trends and best practices. Ideally, we’d like a candidate that reflects this, with a keen interest in the latest trends and technologies. We have regular cross skillset and cross portfolio knowledge sharing events (Brown Bag Lunches), so would like a candidate that can be actively involved in this culture as well. If this sounds like you then we’d love to receive your CV.

The role is fully remote, with some office time required during onboarding.
