Position Summary


Clearwave Fiber is seeking motivated and technically driven NOC Analyst II to support the 24/7 operations of our in-house Network Operations Center. This role plays a critical part in monitoring network health, responding to alarms, escalating issues, and supporting the restoration of services across Clearwave Fiber’s advanced fiber-optic network.

Working directly under the NOC Manager, these positions are designed for individuals looking to develop or grow a career in network operations, supporting a network environment that leverages Calix access systems, Juniper core routing, Fujitsu transport gear, and Accedian performance monitoring platforms.

This role operate in a shift-based environment and are integral to our commitment to delivering world-class uptime and proactive support for Clearwave Fiber customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of escalated alerts and incidents, leading moderate to advanced troubleshooting efforts.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, system restarts, and backup validations.
  • Identify and respond to recurring issues through log analysis, trend identification, and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Provide Tier 1 staff with mentoring and guidance in handling alarms, processes, and escalation paths.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform, Engineering, and Field Ops to resolve customer-impacting issues.
  • Maintain internal documentation including advanced runbooks, known error databases, and knowledge articles.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to root cause analysis efforts.
Requirements

What you will need:

Required Skills

  • Solid grasp of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), VLANs, and firewall basics.
  • Practical experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Calix Cloud).
  • Strong analytical ability to correlate logs, metrics, and alerts to identify root causes.
  • Clear and professional communicator with the ability to relay technical detail to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, or related field.
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIS, or ITIL Foundation.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a NOC or equivalent technical support environment.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
