Job description

This is a remote position.

Scope
  • Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Georgia time with 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of immigration procedures and be skilled in supporting attorneys with case preparation, document management, and client communication. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our immigration practice and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in preparing immigration petitions, applications, affidavits, and supporting documents.
  • Conduct basic legal research on immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Review and organize case files, maintaining an efficient document management system.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely filing of applications, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide case updates.
  • Liaise with government agencies such as USCIS, NVC, and waivers (601/601A) on case-related matters.
  • Prepare and file documents for family-based immigration, employment-based visas, asylum applications, naturalization, and other immigration matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to ensure efficient workflow and client service.


Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a similar role within an immigration law firm.
  • Familiarity with immigration law and procedures, including family-based petitions, work visas, and removal defense.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Experience with legal document preparation and case management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
