Job description

Summary:
We are looking for a Web Developer who will be responsible for designing, modifying, and maintaining websites—primarily within the WordPress platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of web technologies, user experience principles, SEO, and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web solutions. This role plays a key part in enhancing the organization's digital presence and user engagement, with a focus on scalability and ease of use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop user-friendly, responsive, and accessible web applications using WordPress.
  • Manage and maintain 400–500 websites primarily hosted in WordPress; implement WooCommerce for e-commerce builds.
  • Utilize and maintain consistency across a set of predefined WordPress themes, with current emphasis on Elementor (primary page builder) and familiarity with legacy builders like WPBakery (Visual Composer).
  • Set up and manage Google Analytics and Google Search Console for performance tracking and optimization.
  • Use YOAST SEO plugin to ensure all metadata and SEO best practices are implemented.
  • Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to balance technical functionality with aesthetic design—requiring a strong design eye and attention to visual detail.
  • Make small tweaks or updates in the WordPress page builder without coding, though basic familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of workflows and explore ways to streamline web development processes, including future integration of AI solutions.
  • Apply training and feedback effectively; demonstrate retention and implementation of learned knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot and debug websites; conduct regular quality assurance and testing before site launches.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in web development, preferably with WordPress.
  • Experience working with Elementor and other page builders (not coding-centric).
  • Understanding of SEO principles, web standards, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills; receptive to feedback and willing to grow within the role.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is a plus.
  • Passion for web trends and openness to evolving tools, including AI-driven development in the future.
