Job description

Welcome to Brightline! We are searching for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director. This role will provide general supervision for our prescribing team (e.g., nurse practitioners, pediatricians and therapists coordinating care) to ensure clinical quality, safety, compliance, and alignment with evidence-based care. 

Responsibilities: 

Exceptional Care:

  • Manage a caseload and provide comprehensive care services to children and teens as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and ongoing medication management.

  • Ensure a high standard of care in all aspects of service delivery

  • Document work meticulously, including session notes, care plans, and progress in the electronic health record

  • Multi-state licensed or ability and willingness to be cross-licensed for NP care collaboration

Leadership and Quality Assurance:

  • Provide strong leadership to the psychiatry team (e.g APRN’s, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and prescribers), as well as to coaches and therapists

  • Adhere to collaborative practice agreement guidelines

  • Conduct office hours, case reviews, and ensure the team's adherence to quality practices

  • Ensure that prescribing clinicians are adhering to all policies & procedures and a high overall quality of care

  • Identify core areas of improvement for psychiatry service delivery

  • Be available and on call to consult with NP and answering questions during their shift by direct communication or telecommunication.

  • Maintain ongoing chart review and monthly 1:1 meetings with team

Collaboration:

  •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineers, Product, Care Operations, Care Quality) for feature enhancements

  • Participate in testing and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement and innovation in care delivery

  • Engage in testing and feedback sessions across Brightline care delivery and product teams

Support Innovation and Growth:

  • Acquire new state licenses as needed (with administrative support and financial sponsorship)

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the organization through active participation in innovation initiatives, including identifying innovation opportunities

Requirements: 

Clinical Expertise:

  • Board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

  • Proven expertise in conducting comprehensive Psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for a diverse range of mental health concerns in pediatric patients

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to incorporate a pathway-driven approach to delivering high-quality and evidence-based care to members and families

Experience leading pediatric mental health clinical services:

  • Proficient in guiding and inspiring teams through mentorship, fostering trust, and cultivating a growth-oriented mindset for personal and collective development

  • Passionate about cultivating inclusive cultures, emphasizing clinical excellence, and establishing a safety-oriented, blame-free environment

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for a Part-Time (20 hours per week) is $125,000-$176,000.
