About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join our development team. The primary focus of the role is to develop and support functionality within the financial productivity systems used by law firms. Your role will involve working with both front-end and back-end technologies, creating responsive and efficient web applications. You will collaborate with product owners, development, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The successful candidate will bring and grow skills/ experience across a broad technology base including C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS, Kendo UI or other modern JS Framework, jQuery, and SQL , with a focus on application performance and system reliability. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to meaningful systems used daily in legal business environments.

What you’ll do
  • Develop, implement, and maintain clean, secure, efficient, and reliable code by adhering to best practices, while ensuring optimal performance, high quality, and responsive user experience across applications. 
  • Write, optimize, and debug SQL stored procedures and database queries.
  • Collaborate with other developers and designers to ensure technical feasibility and consistency. 
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in both frontend code and database interactions. 
  • Participate and support other team members tasks to ensure successful project delivery when required. 
  • Actively participate in peer code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and team retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET MVC. 
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. 
  • Experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures (preferably in MS SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with configuring and deploying applications using IIS. 
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git). 
  • You should have a head for problem solving, allowing you to identify and create solutions to business related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
