We are partnering with our national client to find multiple Senior Cloud Platform Engineers to join their high-impact, fully remote engineering team. This is a senior-level opportunity for experienced engineers who excel in designing, implementing, and managing automated, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure—specifically on Microsoft Azure.

As a key member of the Data Platform SRE team, you'll lead cloud infrastructure initiatives across the Azure ecosystem, leveraging advanced Terraform automation, Databricks integrations, and secure deployment pipelines. You'll work cross-functionally with Architecture, Product, Engineering, and IT teams to drive cloud transformation and modernization initiatives across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and self-healing systems on the Azure platform
  • Own and develop DevOps automation pipelines using Terraform (repos, approvals, deployments)
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates
  • Oversee and manage deployments across environments, ensuring quality and security
  • Integrate Databricks with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and other business platforms
  • Implement and automate cloud security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
  • Manage security vulnerability remediation processes and patching strategy
  • Perform platform cost analysis and optimization
  • Define and deliver CI/CD pipelines and promote DevOps best practices
  • Develop monitoring, metrics, and alerting strategies using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and third-party tools (e.g., Dynatrace)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on cloud architecture modernization efforts and on-prem to Azure migrations
  • Support and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration strategies
  • Conduct regular software installations, upgrades, and platform maintenance
  • Provide consulting and mentorship to internal teams on Azure, IaC, and DevOps

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or cloud engineering
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and operating secure, automated Azure environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Terraform for enterprise infrastructure management
  • Deep expertise in Azure services including Networking, Storage, Compute, Containers, and Security
  • Working knowledge of Azure Databricks and its integrations with enterprise systems
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and principles, including pipeline creation and automation
  • Familiarity with platform observability tools like Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Dynatrace
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and practices
  • Hands-on experience with AKS administration and troubleshooting
  • Proven success in cloud cost optimization and capacity planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder engagement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead initiatives in a collaborative, enterprise-scale environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure specialty certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500)
  • Experience with Azure Data Services and enterprise data architecture
  • Exposure to Salesforce and NetSuite integration with Databricks
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
