What You’ll Do:

The Care Coordinator Intern will support our Visit Management team. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth communication and follow-up regarding patient appointments and provider documentation.

  • Confirm Appointment Attendance: Make outbound calls or texts[JH1]  to injured workers and providers to confirm upcoming appointment attendance and resolve any scheduling issues.
  • Monitor Documentation & Claims: Track provider submission of visit notes and claims to ensure timely documentation for billing and case progression.
  • Facilitate Rescheduling: Proactively coordinate and expedite rescheduling of missed or cancelled appointments to minimize treatment delays.
  • Verify Upcoming Appointments: Contact providers and/or injured workers to confirm scheduled upcoming visits and update internal records accordingly.
  • Support Visit Management Team: Assist the case administrators with administrative tasks as needed to support workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document all outreach and updates in the internal case management system with clarity and timeliness.

Must Have’s:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a related field. Ex: Healthcare Administration, Physical Therapy, Public Health, Social Work, etc.

Nice To Have’s:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Highly organization with attention to detail and time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Prior experience in healthcare, insurance, or administrative support is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Interest in worker’s compensation, patient advocacy, or case management.

 

Compensation:

  • The range of hourly rate is $15-$17 per hour.  Please note that base salary is a guideline and will vary based on factors such as work location, qualifications, skill level, and competencies. Additionally, salary is just one component of Bardavon’s total rewards package. Depending on the role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program and/or incentive pay.
